How can we help?

Is your child or young person withdrawing more and more, can’t keep up at school and/or can’t really connect to the class community? Would you like to give him or her the best possible support in dealing with everyday challenges?

Perhaps your child has already been diagnosed with dyslexia, dyscalculia or on the autism spectrum and you don't know exactly how to proceed?

We will be happy to advise and support you in your search for a suitable support or therapy measure and help you to adapt it individually to your child.

What exactly do school attendants do?

The central task of school attendants is to support them in coping with the school day.

This includes:

  • Preparation of teaching materials

  • Personality and motivation promotion

  • Task restructuring or content transfer

  • Assistance in communicating with teachers and classmates

  • integration into the classroom

  • mental stabilization

  • trust

  • Help with going to the toilet and dressing and undressing for breaks, as well as in physical education

  • assistance with eating

  • Aid for the implementation of therapeutic measures

  • Accompanying breaks and school trips

  • Orientation aid in the classroom and in the schoolyard

  • Supervision of class trips

How do I apply for help?

Depending on the need for support and the diagnosis, those affected can apply for free help in accordance with the Social Security Code (SGB VIII & SGB IX).

To do this, you must first submit an informal application for the assumption of costs to the youth or social welfare office. The type and scope of the individual assistance is then approved by the youth and social welfare office.

We are happy to help with the application at any time!

At the same time, it makes sense to inquire about a free place for school support from a provider such as Life-Inclusion. As a legal guardian, you have the right to decide which child and youth welfare agency and which employee should accompany your child after the funding has been approved by the responsible office.

Who is suitable for school attendance?

Children and young people with...

  • ... a physical disability

  • ... a mental disability (SGB IX - integration assistance law)

  • ... a mental impairment (e.g. AD(H)S or autism)

  • ... other special needs

Why exactly us?

School companions help to compensate for the deficits of children and young people with special needs in the motor, social, emotional, communicative and (psycho)social areas in order to enable them to attend school independently at regular or special schools as best as possible. In order to ensure this in the best possible way, we follow high quality standards.

We know how important it is to choose the right school companion. It is therefore particularly important to us to find the right caregiver for each person affected. Here, the interpersonal comes first. A stable and healthy relationship of trust should be created between our employees and the children or young people.
